We suggest that you consider a one-hour Master Class entitled New York Theater
101 with producer and CUNY professor Eric Krebs. We can arrange the class at a
special time or you may want to attend the regularly scheduled sessions every
Wednesday at 6PM - 7PM.
NEW YORK THEATRE 101 is the perfect introduction to all aspects of New York
Theatre. This class can be tailored to your particular group, whether
students, educators, tourists or even theatre professionals.
Learn the inner workings of getting a show on Broadway, off-Broadway or
off-off Broadway. Learn about producing, acting, hiring the creative team,
developing a musical and more. Ask any questions you may have.
Eric Krebs has been a professor of Theatre Arts for nearly 40 years, first at
Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Jersey and currently
at Baruch College of the City University of New York. He was the founder of
the acclaimed regional George Street Playhouse now in its 33rd year. He built
and owned the off-Broadway Douglas Fairbanks and John Houseman Theatres and
currently owns and manages the 45th Street Theatre. He is, an 8 time Tony
Award nominated producer for Ain't Nothin' But The Blues, Bill Maher,
Victory Begins at Home and Electra. In addition he has co-produced
the Neil Simon Broadway comedy The Dinner Party and Paul Robeson.
Off-Broadway audiences have been entertained by over 100 productions including
the 2004 Drama Desk Award winning Toxic Audio in Loudmouth.
